As we wrap up an exciting year of business, Wilby Jones Consulting partners, Simon and Darryl, would like to share a seasonal message with their community of staff and followers…
What a year we have had! Since deciding to branch out into Wilby Jones Consulting in early March, the business has gone from strength to strength despite Covid-19, social distancing, the new normal, and all of the other trials this year has posed!
In just nine months, we have almost doubled our client base. So far this year, we’ve helped hundreds of businesses save millions through R&D tax relief. During such an unsettled time, we know that this has made a real difference to many of our clients. It feels very rewarding to know that our services can help other small businesses survive and thrive in a difficult world.
It’s strange to think we began this venture with only three full-time staff. Looking at the team of 11 we will have going into 2021, we have to say a massive thank you to each and every team member. It is a real credit to all of you who have jumped headfirst into every challenge we have set. It feels like we have been together as a team for a much longer time.
I know it can’t have been easy for all of you to train over MS Teams, find home offices you never knew you had, and generally deal with a situation no one could have foreseen – you are all a credit to the business.
Of course, we know that 2020 hasn’t been so positive for everyone. Our thoughts are with all the businesses that have struggled this year. Let’s all hope for a fast return to normal over the next six months.
Thank you to our clients, for allowing us the privilege of working so closely with your business. We always approach each client as a partnership and an opportunity to add as much value as we can within their normal business operations. It has been strange working through a screen, as we usually like to make a point of doing business face-to-face, as we think it forms better, long-term business relationships.
To our new clients, if we have not managed to meet you in real life this year due to COVID, we will do our best to meet you in 2021. And to our long-standing clients – we can’t wait to get back out and seeing you as soon as we can.
The Wilby Jones Consulting office will be closed from Friday 18 December to Monday 4 January. Our team is taking a well-deserved break, and we hope your business is able do the same. We have big plans for 2021, and we look forward to coming back rested and recharged.
